To be honest, I really don't know.
Really, though, I suppose I've always enjoyed writing in some ways. I've always done well in my English classes, and my teachers have consistently praised my authorship when I've turned in papers (which didn't always happen - not exactly a model student here).
Besides that, I'm an incredibly opinionated person, and a little vain, so I suppose it only makes sense that I would want to put those opinions in writing, and beyond that, in a place where other people could potentially read it (although I have little illusions that there are many people actually reading this blog at this point).
